OR...ganic

OR...ganic is a body of work created using natural materials of everyday life. Experimenting with layers, surface treatment, and pattern to create color field sculpture. These sculptures talk about what is beautiful and highlights death.

Pathogens

The Pathogens Series was created  from scrap wood found in woodshop recycle bins. The wood is carved and then dyed with a combination of inks, dyes, pigments. Then it goes through the process again and agian to achieve the proper layering of color.

Humerus

 Collecting and saving was the start to this piece of work. After cleaning the chicken bones went through a dying process and then are sewn to a peice of canvas. I was working with ideas of life, death, waste, consumption and layers.

Static Pile

Created in 2011 this work took a little over a year to create. The action of peeling the orange, creating gestures and movement was important to me. Then the orange peels go through a dying process. I was working with ideas of life, death, waste, consumption and layers.
